Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m spooky and wise, an artist and writer from Atlantic Canada, and storytelling has always been my passion. I spend my days listening to HIM (live long love metal), writing and editing, and volunteering for different arts and writing organizations.

The rest of my time is filled with painting landscapes and abstractions, working on my own fiction, and consuming content in whatever form my mood calls for—a story is a story! I’ve always defined myself as a writer, but painting is just as important to me. It’s the one thing that takes me out of my head and silences the demons.

Though I have taken many art classes over the years, I am a mostly self-taught painter. My art is about embracing my intuition, expression, and exploring color and technique. I chase my inspiration, whether that means painting something based on a dream (or nightmare, but not for me), a story idea, or even something as simple as a marking.

I’m also editing my first horror novel, writing/editing a few more thanks to National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and I always have a short story or two on the go. And when that’s not enough, I wander around and photograph the beautiful landscape wherever I am at the time.
