How can I request a commission?
Don’t see an original piece in my gallery that fits your space? Then request a painting! I love taking commissions, hearing your stories, and creating unique pieces just for you.
If you have an idea, a favorite color, a scene you want to see in my style—reach out! I’d love to hear from you.
Let me bring your idea to life through wild markings and vivid colors!
What paint/materials do you use?
I love to experiment with different materials and tools. I tend to paint with acrylics because I don’t have access to a well-ventilated studio right now, although I’d love to get back into using oils again. I usually paint on gallery-wrapped or stretched canvas but sometimes I prefer canvas board or Masonite when I’m using knives (when I get rough I can’t poke through the board!). It all depends what mood I’m in, what I’m working on, etc. I really love how smooth Masonite feels beneath my knives.
If you’re interested in what I used for a specific painting, I always note the materials on each painting’s gallery page.
How do I pay for a painting?
I require a deposit before beginning a commission, which will be determined after discussing your request, starting at $50.00 CAD. Larger pieces will require larger deposits. The deposit will be deducted from your total.
I accept payments via e-transfer or PayPal. If you need to make a payment another way we can discuss that as well.
Can I return a painting?
I put a lot of time and effort into my artwork, therefore all sales are final.
Are paintings framed?
Paintings can come framed or unframed, at your request. If you’d like your painting to be framed prior to shipping, I will make some recommendations on the style and work with you to find the best fit for your space and the painting.
I typically post photos without frames to give a clearer picture of the painting. I generally prefer unframed paintings when I use a thick canvas because I like the look of the painted edge. And I prefer to frame paintings that are done on canvas board, Masonite, or a thinner material.
How do you ship paintings?
Orders will not ship until the full payment has been received. The buyer is responsible for any import tax or customs fees. I can’t advise, estimate, or pay any applicable fees specific to the buyer’s country.
I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and I will ship items depending on where they are going (via Canada Post, FedEx, etc.) in a safe and secure way to ensure artwork is not damaged.
Can you do delivery?
I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I’m happy to deliver artwork to customers who live close by, within reason. We can arrange delivery after the final payment has been made.
Do you have a store for prints and merchandise?
A store to buy prints, original paintings, and merch is coming soon!
